There is WiFi and shade.Alot of traffic from cars trucks and busses.
Sign to Sofia.
Alot of busses leaving the parking looked and gestured me like they would have taken me but couldn't stop again so maybe be visible to them or directly ask them.
Just before i wanted to call it a night in the nearby field on my last round of asking people a trucker took me all the way to Sofia:) The walk across the border to BG is longer than usual if you get there by truck since they get separated a few hundred meters earlier

Maybe I just got unlucky, but I stood here for more than an hour. For the first 50 minutes, I stood here with a sign SRB. After that, I switched to Dragoman and got a ride to a gas station there in half an hour. I would say a lot of local traffic. The traffic light is 30 sec green, 30 sec red.―martih

I think this is an awesome spot. If you have the energy to ask, there are a lot of people stopping here for a quick bite, if not, just thumbing with a sign worked pretty decently for me. I really cool dude stopped for me and brought me all the way to Sofia. The cars are slow, and there is a place to stop easily.―martih

Pretty good! Traffic was chill but someone saw me and came back to pick me up. Apparently they had seen hitchhikers there before as well. Good stop!!!―Anonymous

Within a few minutes I found a friendly trucker who took me a good 1,5 h to a gas station on the highway. The spot is a bit weird because basically all the traffic on the road is leaving the highway. So you only really have a chance with people coming out of the gas station.

Bad spot. Very few cars which go to gas station, most of them are not friendly tbh. Quite all of the cars are full with people or with their stuff. Right after gas station sometimes there chill border police, we got lucky to be with them the whole day. They tell not to go to the exit of gas station because it’s dangerous. Fortunately after around 5-6 hours of waiting time at around 10 pm we got a lift to Sofia.―ptulish

This place was perfect to go to Serbia. Someone took me to Niš. My last destination was Belgrade, but from Niš to Belgrade was easy as well―Ana06

Despite it being dark and me standing with a sign I got picked up all the way to Sofia quickly. The lights are good enough for nighttime hitchhiking, otherwise there’s always the gas station.―Arphile

It's hard to say how good this place is. We were heading towards Sofia/Istanbul -> the driver heading to Pirot left us there saying it was a good place. Generally, cars don't drive very fast there – they see you and your sign, but there's no gas station or anything like that. After about half an hour, we managed to catch a truck heading to Sofia. There are often queues of trucks at the border, so there's a chance you'll cross the border and ask drivers one by one if they can take you to Istanbul. We finally made it to Sofia that day, but I think there's a chance you'll catch a driver going further.―Moonhans

I stood there with a sign saying "Ruse." The problem was that it was already late for such a long journey (8 p.m.). However, one guy offered to take me to Pleven. There is a lot of traffic at the gas station and at the exit.―Okubobrakurbober

I just wanted to drive a couple of kilometers north to the next intersection. But I was unlucky. I stood there for almost 90 minutes in the sun. My thumb didn't work. The "2 km" sign worked. Stand where the turning lane almost connects to the highway.―Okubobrakurbober

It’s a shit place. We were trying to go to North Macedonia. We got recommended to go to the border town Kjustendil first. After we changed the sign from City names to 10km we got picky up after 5min.―Anonymous

Good spot because a lot of traffic was at the start (5pm) but then dropped very fast (6pm). Was standing with a sign bulgaria/k.palanka. Maybe a bit far saying signs but there is no other place kinda to go there on that road. Also maybe i was not that lucky because i was trying kinda late in the evening. But eventually very nice truck driver who was paying a toll(stramge because all others had the autamic one) took me all the way to sofia.―kiausiniuvagis

Good traffic, but some waiting. Had a sign Sofia and some Turkish guys coming from Antwerp going to Fethiye gave me a lift to Sofia.―Anonymous
